Leiven is one of the four cofounders of AWOVEN, a diverse community of cultural creatives who practice the art and skill of healthy communication to weave authentic connections and impactful leadership.

So many aspects of our world are amplifying divisiveness and polarity, and social media platforms that once helped to connect people now seem to be intensifying reactivity and polarization. In many ways, the essential threads of mutual respect, compassion, and understanding are being torn apart, exacerbating the challenges we are facing. It is a crucial time for each of us to play our part in reweaving the ties that support us all by engaging in more healthy ways of communicating - encouraging authenticity, vulnerability, inclusivity, and mutual empowerment.

We believe that mutual understanding with the willingness to learn from one another can have a huge, positive impact on our lives and communities.

AWOVEN is a brave and safe container for deepening connections, healing, and understanding between people from all backgrounds and ways of life. It is a diverse, supportive, and healing space rather than insular, reactive, and polarizing as much of the world around us seems to be.

Navigator Passage

Leiven is the lead facilitator for the Navigator Passage, a 10-week online program originally developed by Shems Heartwell to empower men in cultivating their Vitality, Leadership, and Relationship skills and supporting them in navigating the challenges of life with transformational power. With the support of Shems and a potent team of co-facilitators, this program offers insight and tools to break cycles of negativity, utilize anger as a fuel for positive engagement, and create healthy relationships that truly thrive. This is an interactive, live, and personal experience comprised of the most effective empowerment and transformational wisdom available to help men generate more of what they deeply desire in life and relationship.

 Sharing & Celebration Circle

The intention of these online gatherings is to utilize the acts of sharing about our challenges and celebrating our triumphs with each other as practices that have powerfully coactive interpersonal and intrapersonal impacts for deep growth and expansive transformation.

On the interpersonal plane, when we hold space for others to express their challenges in full support of them and without judgment, we help them to more clearly and courageously face those challenges as well as open greater capacity for ourselves to face our own. Mirroring this, the more fully we are able to celebrate each others' joys and triumphs, the more completely we are able to feel and appreciate our own and, in turn, be an inspiration to others.

On the intrapersonal plane, the more willingly we can express our challenges to others, the more fully we know their roots and the more deeply we can resolve them; and, with deeper clarity of our own challenges, we hold greater capacity to have compassion for others in theirs. When we are able to celebrate our triumphs, we can be more fully grounded in knowing our gifts and our inherent worth. Both aspects of such practice help us to let go of what illusions our traumatized selves yet cling to and thus live with greater integrity and fulfillment.

The Sharing & Celebration Circles is a free online gathering held within the AWOVEN Community on the last Thursday of each month.

Navigator Voyage

Leiven co-facilitates the Navigator Voyage with Shems, a year-long mentorship for emerging leaders who are committed to making positive waves in the world and committed to learning through connection & experience, facing their shadows, embodying their potency, and sharing their gifts. With an intention to fuel the inner fires, stretch the capacities, surface the resistances, and bring forth the Leaders in participants, this program shares powerfully effective wisdom and guidance throughout the program and dive deeply into their personal growth edges to support and amplify their strengths and leadership skills.
